Job Purpose
The Field Coordinator will lead the implementation of the ICP Project in the Amhara Region, managing coffee and crop activities, addressing agronomic challenges, and supervising field operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Project Coordination: Oversee daily implementation of project activities, ensuring compliance with standards.
- Technical Support: Promote Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) and climate-smart techniques, providing training to staff and partners.
- Partnership Management: Collaborate with local governments, stakeholders, and co-implementing partners to enhance project sustainability.
- Monitoring & Reporting: Develop M&E systems, document field data, and prepare comprehensive project reports.
Qualifications
- Education: M.Sc. or B.Sc. in a relevant field (e.g., Agricultural Innovation, Rural Development).
- Experience:
- 4+ years with an M.Sc. or 6+ years with a B.Sc. in agricultural extension or project implementation.
- Proven experience with NGOs/INGOs on agriculture or climate-related projects.
- Skills:
- Strong agronomic skills, leadership, and communication abilities in English, Amharic, and Afaan Oromo.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
