Job Summary

The Action for Social Development and Environmental Protection Organization (ASDEPO) is seeking a LAF Officer to manage HR, Admin, and Finance activities as part of the Emergency Response Project.

Overview

About ASDEPO

Established in 2014, ASDEPO is an Ethiopian civil society organization focused on humanitarian response, health, education, economic empowerment, and various other sectors across the country.

Job Purpose

To manage ASDEPO’s Emergency Response Project with a focus on HR/Admin and Finance activities, ensuring compliance with organizational policies while coordinating fleet operations effectively.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Financial Responsibilities

  • Coordinate financial requirements for action plans and prepare reports.
  • Conduct financial activities such as cash counts, payroll checks, and cash flow requests.
  • Prepare and check monthly financial reports.
  • Ensure adherence to accounting and documentation procedures.
  • Collaborate with Finance and HR departments for smooth operations.

Transport & Logistics Responsibilities

  • Collect and evaluate monthly log sheets for office and rented vehicles.
  • Ensure compliance with ASDEPO’s transport and procurement policies.
  • Monitor vehicle usage and produce monthly transport reports.
  • Manage procurement processes according to guidelines.

HR & Admin Responsibilities

  • Maintain personnel files and manage staff leave rosters.
  • Address staff personal issues as per ASDEPO HR guidelines.
  • Prepare HR reports and provide necessary materials and equipment to staff.
  • Monitor staff performance and maintain workplace safety.

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Essential: BA Degree in Accounting & Finance, Management, Logistics, or a related field with a minimum of three years of relevant experience.
  • Desirable: NGO experience in emergency projects is an advantage.

Skills

  • Proficient in computer applications.
  • Good communication and report writing skills.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently in stressful situations.

Language Requirements

  • Fluent spoken and written local language is an asset.
