Project Overview:
The Ten4All (T4A) Project aims to enhance protection, education, and socio-economic integration for young migrants, returnees, and at-risk individuals in the East Haraghe and Dire Dawa zones, funded by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS).
Key Responsibilities:
Identification:
Conduct structured identification exercises regarding the child protection situation, focusing on unaccompanied and separated children and other vulnerable groups.
Ensure confidential coordination and information sharing with child protection officers, partner organizations, and community groups.
Identify missing children and those needing family tracing.
Case Management:
Register and assess unaccompanied and separated children.
Build trusting relationships with children, families, and communities, recording essential information.
Conduct assessments to understand needs and risks, helping to identify goals and necessary services.
Develop comprehensive case plans and ensure record-keeping.
Provide direct services, referrals, and coordinate case conferences.
Follow up to ensure timely implementation of the case plan and monitor progress through home visits.
Case Coordination:
Collaborate with health, education, and gender protection sectors for coordinated support.
Identify capacity-building needs among service providers.
Organize community awareness sessions and facilitate peer support groups.
Principles:
Maintain confidentiality regarding children and cases.
Uphold integrity and commitment to humanitarian principles.
Ensure data protection and respect for confidentiality.
Qualifications and Experience:
Essential: BA Degree or Diploma in a relevant field; 5+ years of experience in humanitarian or development NGOs, particularly with vulnerable populations.
Desirable: Technical experience in migration, protection, or livelihoods programming.
