Since 1985, our Ethiopia office has been responding to crises through multi-sectoral strategies. Currently active in six regions and Addis Ababa, we focus on nutrition, food security, WASH, and mental health.
Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced Consortium MEAL and Knowledge Management Manager to lead the development and implementation of effective systems for gathering and sharing knowledge across the SIDA triple nexus project. This role is crucial in enhancing program effectiveness and ensuring alignment with our strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead MEAL Activities: Oversee MEAL functions for a multi-donor funded project aimed at improving food and nutrition security.
- Coordinate Knowledge Management: Establish and manage systems for knowledge generation, storage, and dissemination across consortium projects.
- Reporting and Documentation: Collect and compile updates and reports for the Consortium Lead and MEAL Head of Department (HoD).
- Facilitate Learning: Organize learning events and ensure documentation of best practices and lessons learned.
- Engagement and Collaboration: Work closely with consortium members, local authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure effective MEAL practices.
Qualifications
- Education: Master’s degree in international development, Public Health, or related field; or a bachelor’s with significant relevant experience.
- Experience: 5-7 years in knowledge management or MEAL in a humanitarian context (7-9 years for BA holders).
- Skills: Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with Management Information Systems.
Preferred: Experience in nutrition, WASH, food security programs, and fluency in the local language.
