Role and Responsibilities
The Project Officer will be responsible for the daily implementation of core competency activities and related project initiatives.
Generic Responsibilities
- Adhere to NRC policies, tools, handbooks, and guidelines.
- Implement the delegated Cash and Livelihoods (CC) project portfolio according to the action plan.
- Prepare and develop status reports as required by management.
- Maintain organized filing systems for both hard and soft copies of documents.
- Ensure projects target the most vulnerable beneficiaries and explore innovative ways to assist them.
- Promote and propose ideas for technical improvements.
Specific Responsibilities
- Under the supervision of the Livelihoods and Food Security (LFS) Coordinator, manage Livelihoods and Food Security program interventions in the assigned woreda.
- Liaise with woreda-level offices and partner organizations to ensure cohesion and synergy in project activities.
- Communicate NRC’s objectives and ensure adherence to NRC policies and procedures during implementation.
- Facilitate engagement with communities, community-based organizations, and local leaders to identify target beneficiary groups.
- Empower local communities to build resilience and sustain Livelihoods and Food Security projects.
- Ensure equitable participation from all segments of beneficiary groups, paying attention to gender, age, disability, and other factors.
- Regularly monitor and evaluate the performance of Livelihoods and Food Security projects, providing timely feedback on interventions.
- Collaborate with the LFS Coordinator to develop and implement surveys and needs assessments in the assigned woreda.
