Job Title: Integrated Water Resources Management Expert

Job Summary:
The Integrated Water Resources Management Expert will work under the supervision of the Programme Manager and carry out the following tasks:
- Participate in designing and implementing IWRM project activities
- Contribute to preparing the annual action plan
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for stakeholders
- Develop and implement a robust M&E framework to monitor project targets
- Ensure project implementing partners maintain M&E and reporting systems
- Conduct data auditing and verification of partners’ monitoring data
- Facilitate quarterly progress reviews, problem-solving, and remedial actions
- Support decision-making with M&E findings, project results, and information
- Support local counterparts in planning, implementing, and monitoring activities
- Coordinate and foster cooperation between AICS, local partners, and other agencies
- Develop working relationships with all project participants and stakeholders
- Assist in coordinating with other AICS Addis Ababa or donor interventions
- Represent AICS in meetings and events
- Participate in institutional capacity development
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards
- Provide support on any other duties assigned by Team Leaders or Programme Manager
Salary & Benefits:
- Gross Annual Salary: €30,375.38
- Allowances: Not applicable
Essential Requirements:
- At least 18 years old and not exceeding retirement age
- Medically fit for employment
- Full political and civil rights
- No insufficient performance assessment from AICS in last 3 years
- Not subject to preventive legal measures
- Not dismissed from public administration job
- M.Sc. in hydrology, water engineering, environmental science or similar OR other M.Sc. with 5 years relevant experience OR B.Sc. in those fields with 3 years experience
- Minimum 10 years relevant experience, with at least 7 years as IWRM expert in development projects
- English proficiency (C1 level)
- Amharic proficiency (C2 level)
- Good IT skills in MS Office and Outlook
Preferential Requirements:
- Additional certifications in hydrogeology, project management, M&E, remote sensing etc.
- Experience in capacity building for project planning, implementation, M&E
- Extra experience beyond 10 years in development cooperation projects
- Skills in GIS, CAD, geospatial tools, databases like PostgreSQL
