Job Summary

The Branch Manager will be responsible for planning, organizing, leading, and controlling the banking activities of the Koka branch. The manager will ensure that all staff adhere to the bank’s operating procedures, rules, code of practices, regulator directives, and country laws. They will also coordinate the sales and business development efforts of the branch.

The Branch Manager will lead the branch’s customer service initiatives and drive operational excellence. They will prepare and submit the branch’s annual budget, work plan, activity reports, and progress reports. The manager will also participate in community activities and maintain close relationships with the business community to promote the bank’s services.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field such as accounting, management, economics, or business administration
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills to foster teamwork, develop and motivate staff, resolve conflicts, and provide strategic direction
  • Ability to lead, influence, and drive change initiatives to support business strategies
  • Strong business acumen, communication, and presentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to manage multicultural teams
  • Self-motivated, highly organized, and able to work effectively with people at all levels
  • Strategic thinking, problem-solving, persuasion, and negotiation skills
  • Good customer relationship management skills (internal and external)
  • Risk awareness and understanding of risk management practices
  • Effective stakeholder management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and core banking systems
  • Project management skills
