Organizational Context
ECA focuses on empowering Africa in alignment with the 2030 Agenda and Agenda 2063. The position is in the Information and Communications Technology Services Section (ICTSS) within the Division of Publications, Conference and Knowledge Management (PCKMD).
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing studio production, conference operations, and broadcast engineering.
- Design and operate video conferencing and simultaneous interpretation systems.
- Lead the design and installation of hybrid conferencing systems.
- Supervise livestreaming services and oversee digital signage operations.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for systems and applications.
- Coordinate with various departments for resources and scheduling of events.
- Train and evaluate technical support staff and manage temporary recruitment.
- Conduct hands-on operational training for operators in various technologies.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma required; further qualifications in data analytics or AV technologies are desirable.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years in related fields. Reduced to 8 years for candidates with a first-level university degree.
- Technical Skills: Experience with conference management systems, hybrid conferencing, AV technologies, and live streaming.
Languages
- Required: English (UN Level II)
- Desirable: French (UN Level II)
