Aside from its import sector, Beyo also manufactures cooling units to supply to its customers within its factory located in Legetafo. We are looking to hire an experienced factory manager to supervise factory workers and ensure that production targets are met. The factory manager’s  responsibilities include scheduling for manufacturing of refrigerators and equipment maintenance as needed, regularly walking the factory floor to monitor the performance of all factory staffs, and ensuring that all production orders are completed in a timely manner. She/he should also be able to enforce compliance with health and safety regulations to prevent accidents and injuries .Candidates shall have outstanding problem-solving skills and resolve any issues that may disrupt production. She/he shall have exceptional  communication, management, and leadership skills to ensure that factory operations run smoothly.
Duties and responsibilities:
  •  Screening, recruiting and training new factory workers together with Human Resources department
  •  Motivating factory workers to continually achieve production targets.
  • Ensuring that factory machinery is in good working condition.
  • Keep records of warehouse inventory up to date
  • Oversee and supervise the activities of the manufacturing site.
  • Implementing production strategies as per the requirements.
  • Monitoring the factory operations
  • Collaborating with department heads and supervisors to establish and execute quality control processes.
  • Preparing production reports and submitting them to key decision makers.
  • Regularly inspecting finished products to determine whether they meet established quality standards.
  • Preparing production schedules and reports.
  • Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems that impact the function.
  • Other duties as may arise from time to time will be handled as needed.

Job Requirements

Required Qualification and Skill
  •  MA or Bachelor’s degree in business administration, industrial management, logistics, or related field.
  • Proven experience in a managerial or supervisory role within a factory.
  • Certification in production and inventory management as well as quality control.
  • Preferable if have knowledge of Refrigerator equipment.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
  • The ability to multitask.
  • Outstanding time management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong management and leadership skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Minimum of Five years’ experience in a managerial level in a manufacturing industry is mandatory
  • Speaking and writing Amharic and English fluently is mandatory.
