Program Overview
The Cash Consortium of Sudan (CCS) is a collaborative initiative aimed at transforming humanitarian response through cash assistance. Led by Mercy Corps, CCS includes partnerships with several international NGOs and local Sudanese organizations to deliver impactful Cash and Voucher Assistance (CVA) to communities affected by conflict.
Position Overview
The Partnership Coordinator will report directly to the Senior Finance & Sub-award Manager and work closely with the Grants Manager. This role focuses on managing sub-grants, ensuring compliance with donor regulations, and fostering collaboration across consortium members.
Key Responsibilities
Sub-Awards Management (40%)
- Conduct pre-award assessments and manage compliance requirements for sub-grants.
- Review and track financial reports from sub-grantees, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Conduct monitoring visits and document findings to enhance programmatic outcomes.
- Oversee sub-grant close-outs and compliance documentation.
Financial Management (30%)
- Review purchase requests and payment processes to ensure compliance.
- Support budget development for funding opportunities, ensuring alignment with donor requirements.
- Provide training on financial policies and compliance to team members.
Grants Management (30%)
- Coordinate with partners on proposal development, ensuring clarity in timelines and deliverables.
- Maintain a grants and reporting tracker for effective oversight of submission statuses.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely reporting to donors.
Safeguarding Responsibilities
- Integrate safeguarding principles into daily work and encourage team communication regarding safeguarding concerns.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial management and grants administration, preferably in international NGOs.
- Strong technical skills in accounting and compliance.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Fluent in English (written and verbal).
