Purpose of Job
The Senior Planning and Forecasting Officer plays a crucial role in enhancing Africa CDC’s health security by focusing on supply chain management, which ensures the timely transport of medical and emergency supplies to Member States.
Main Functions
- Manage supply delivery planning and forecasting to ensure efficient delivery.
- Create and execute supply chain plans utilizing forecasting models of high quality.
- Connect and work together with other stakeholders to make sure the operations are running smoothly.
Specific Responsibilities
- Study the details and inference of the supply chain to enhance the model of forecasting accuracy.
- Provide supporting materials such as dashboards for monitoring the efficiency of the supply chain.
- Collaborating with suppliers and logistics partners is crucial to guarantee a seamless and punctual delivery process.
Academic Requirements
- A Master’s Degree in supply chain management or another relevant field (with 7 years of experience)
- The candidate must possess excellent planning, negotiation, and organizational skills.
